Eustache did not enjoy the warm weather yesterday. Poor little thing was all fussy the all day.

The favorite toy of Eustache is an activity carpet from 'TinyLove' which has two arches from which little stuffed animals and noisy toys are hanging. He got it when he was about two month old, and it has increased his development by orders of magnitude. He started to reach out for these little toys, and then later for other things around his dipaer station. He looks at himself in the mirror. He spends maybe a full hour in there without getting sleepy or tired or fussy. This is highly recommended. Here is the picture:


(note: the baby is provided by amazon.com, he is not Eustache). We bought it at target, where a mom with a 5 month old in her cart highly recommended it to me: her kid still loved it, even after having spend uncountable hours in it.

Eustache is a tri-national citizen: proudly born in the US, he also carries a French and Japanese citizenship (while he might have to drop a few because of compatibility issues). A little world citizen, it would be a shame though.

The funny part though is that, when his dad and a male friend of his dad went to have dinner in the Castro -Eustache lives in San Francisco, and his mother could not make it due to some schedule conflict- someone (someone quite flamboyant, might one add) came up to them and congratulated them, as a couple, for having the guts to adopt a Chinese baby.

So Eustache is now referred to as: the adopted Chinese boy, or the little buddha.

Eustache is 3.5 month old, so he's not really writing this, but I think his folks should be updated of his whereabout.

He went to a nice party last night where he met a cute 7 weeks old Elsa, and they hit it off. Slumber party, it seems like, as they technically are too you to sleep together.

Things Eustache likes: taking bath, looking at his stuff giraffe (could be a tiger, the debate rages on). Things Eustache does not like: tummy time. Crummy time, he'd call it, if he had the gift of language.
