Chinese New Year Celebration at the SF Symphony.

I got ticket at the SF Symphony for a family celebration of the Chinese New Year (here's my interview with conductor Carolyn Kuan).

The show started with some performances of lion dance and dragon runs in the lobby, then an orchestra performance in the concert hall (no pictures allowed). The kids loved the lion dances, of course, and managed to be quiet during the instrumental pieces (Romeo and Juliet, etc). A lovely afternoon at the symphony for the kids.

February 8th, 2009.
